Irrashai (Welcome). For me, a great meal is more than just food. It’s a story.
My story begins rooted in Japanese traditions and culture, then travels to places like Manhattan, Washington DC, and Los Angeles. It is often in uncharted territory where I am inspired to grow—and pair my Japanese cooking origins with new influences, flavors and aromas.
I hope you take the adventure with me and try our unique favorites like Taiwan Ramen Soup or Spicy Miso Chilean Sea Bass. At Sashi, sharing family style is a great way to try familiar, yet new foods that may soon become old favorites. Remember to savor each bite, as many of our ingredients—even our soy sauce—are all made in-house by hand.
So whether the influences are from halfway around the world or here—where I am committed to locally grown and organically farmed produce and meats wherever possible—every Sashi dish tells a rich and varied story. The best ending? A hope that you will hunger to return—especially to experience something new. Peace and happy travels,

Makoto
